What Do I Need To Do To Make a Mediterranean Pizza?
- First, make the pizza dough. No need to look for a Mediterranean pizza dough recipe. Find my super easy dough here!
- Then, make the Tzatziki Sauce. You can jump to recipe below, or find it here!
- Now, you’re ready to make the Pizza.
- Preheat the oven and add parchment paper and pizza dough to the pizza peel.
- Sauté chickpeas and onion.
- Spread tzatziki sauce over crust.
- Sprinkle with sautéed compote.
- Dot with sun dried tomatoes and green olives.
- Place raddichio over pizza, sparingly.
- Dot with buffalo mozzarella.
- Slide pizza with parchment onto the pizza stone. Bake.
- Lastly, the salad!
- In a large bowl, add olive oil, vinegar, and thyme. Whisk.
- Toss with spinach and feta.
- Sprinkle with pine nuts.

Mediterranean Pizza Recipe

- 1 pizza stone optional
- 1 skillet
Ingredients
Pizza Dough
Tzatziki Sauce
- 2 cucumbers peeled
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 cup Greek yogurt whole fat
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup olive oil extra virgin
- 3 tbsp fresh dill
- 3 tbsp fresh Italian parsley
- 1 clove garlic chopped
- 2 tsp Mediterranean sea salt
- 3 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp brandy Ciroc (optional)
Pizza
- 1 can chickpeas drained and rinsed
- 1 medium red onion thinly sliced
- 1/3 ball buffalo mozzarella
- 1/2 jar sun dried tomatoes drained
- 1/4 cup Spanish green olives diced
- 1/4 head raddichio
Pizza Salad
- 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 5 sprigs thyme leaves leaves minced, not the stem
- 8 oz baby spinach
- 1/4 cup feta crumbled
- 2 tbsp pine nuts
Instructions

- Combine in a food processor the following ingredients. Allow time to rise. This is important!2 cups whole wheat white flour, 1/2 cup white flour, 1 tsp Mediterranean sea salt, 2 tbsp olive oil , 2 tsp active dry yeast, 1 cup hot water not boiling
Make the Tzatziki Sauce.
- 2 cucumbers , 1 lemon, 1 cup Greek yogurt, 1 cup buttermilk, 1/4 cup olive oil, 3 tbsp fresh dill, 3 tbsp fresh Italian parsley, 1 clove garlic, 2 tsp Mediterranean sea salt, 3 tsp ground black pepper, 1 tsp brandy
Make the Pizza
- Preheat the oven to 525 degrees Farenheit.
- Place your pizza stone in the oven.
- Tear a large piece of parchment paper and place it on your wood pizza peel.
- Saute chickpeas and red onion for 5 minutes. Remove from pan and place in a bowl.1 can chickpeas, 1 medium red onion
- Roll out the dough to make a thin pizza crust. Place the crust on the parchment paper on top of the wooden pizza peel.
- Spread your homemade tzatziki sauce over the pizza crust.
- Sprinkle sautéed chickpeas and red onion over the pizza.
- Use half a jar of sun dried tomatoes and dot over pizza.1/2 jar sun dried tomatoes
- Dice ¼ cup of Spanish green olives. Spread over pizza.1/4 cup Spanish green olives
- Place pieces of raddichio over the pizza sparingly.1/4 head raddichio
- Dot with 1/3 ball of buffalo mozzarella.1/3 ball buffalo mozzarella
- Once the oven is preheated, slide the pizza with parchment paper onto the pizza stone. Bake 6-10 minutes depending on how hot your oven gets. Watch closely, it will cook quickly!
Make the Salad
- In a large bowl, make the salad.
- Add olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and thyme. Whisk with fork.2 tbsp olive oil , 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 5 sprigs thyme leaves
- Toss with baby spinach and feta.8 oz baby spinach, 1/4 cup feta
- Sprinkle pine nuts on top.2 tbsp pine nuts
- You can serve this on top of the pizza as pizza salad or on the side. Enjoy!
