What Do I Need To Do To Make This Asian Chicken Noodle Recipe?

  • First, chop up the garlic and onions. Set in a bowl or to the side while you chop the ginger. This will give the allicin time to activate! Super good for your gut health and immune system!
  • Second, add oil and the garlic, onions, and ginger to the Instant Pot on sauté. Lightly sauté until onions are slightly translucent.
  • Third, dump in the chicken.
  • Then, add the chicken stock, tamari sauce, vinegar and honey. Turn off the sauté function.
  • Close the Instant Pot lid, move the pressure valve to closed, and press soup. Set timer for 25 minutes.
  • Vent manually when the pot beeps. Add the leafy greens. Pressure cook again (or, if you like your greens more crunchy like a salad, don’t cook).
  • Meanwhile, cook the noodles in a separate pot on the stove according to package directions.
  • Add cooked noodles to bowls. Ladle soup over noodles and top with peanuts!

An Easy Asian Chicken Noodle Recipe with Supercharged Ingredients

To get started, let’s take a closer look at the amazing health benefits of Chinese black vinegar. It is packed with a host of micro-nutrients and superheroes to give your body the support it needs in order to be healthy and strong (Xia et al, 2020).

The fermentation process required to make vinegar is a magical one, as it brings out these tiny beneficial bacteria that can do great things for your health. Chinese vinegar in particular is known to help regulate metabolism, boost immunity, provide antioxidants, promote healthy blood circulation and even improve brain function!

Where to Find Chinese Black Vinegar

Black vinegar is super healthy for your gut and adds savory flavor to any asian chicken noodle recipe. The ingredients include water, glutinous rice, wheat bran, sugar, and salt. You can find Chinese black vinegar at some local grocery stores. Or, you can order it on Amazon below!

If you don’t have Chinese black vinegar, you can also use apple cider vinegar. I love the unfiltered kind. You can find apple cider vinegar at most stores, including Costco sometimes. Or you can press the easy button and order it from Amazon below!

Chicken Asian Noodle Bowl Recipe with Ginger

Next, and also included in this chicken asian noodle bowl is ginger. Ginger has been found to have a powerful anti-inflammatory effect on the gut and promote better balance throughout an individual’s microbiome (Wang et al, 2021). This natural ingredient is widely incorporated into many different diets and lifestyles as it provides immense health benefits.

Fresh ginger is really good! In a recent study on the benefits of ginger, scientists used a randomized controlled trial, which is the gold standard for medicine, and followed 123 healthy adults who agreed to drink ginger juice every day and a control group of similarly matched people (using a lot of fancy stastistical techniques to do so) who were not drinking ginger juice.

How to find and keep fresh ginger root

You can find ginger in the produce section. I usually freeze what I don’t use. Then, when I need it again, I can just take it out of the freezer, run it under warm water, and voila! Fresh ginger.

Pro Tip
How to Freeze Ginger Root

When you buy ginger it usually comes in a decent sized piece of ginger root. For most recipes, you won’t be using the whole thing.
To save money, cut it into 3 inch sections and place in a freezer safe bag. Throw in your freezer until your next recipe calls for ginger!
Dethaw under hot water for 30 seconds and then chop!
Fresh ginger at the ready!

This Chicken Noodles Recipe is Better with Honey

Everyone enjoys a little bit of sweetness in their savory dishes, which is why adding raw honey to your asian chicken noodle soup recipe is the perfect way to obtain a comforting and flavorful broth that will make you want to savor every spoonful. Not only does the honey add an irresistible sweetness, but it also helps bring out all of the delightful flavors of your asian-inspired creation.

Raw honey is a nutrient-rich superfood that contains a plethora of health benefits. But sadly, most of the honey you can find on store shelves has been pasteurized, which unfortunately destroys the beneficial microorganisms that make honey so good for us!

Gut Health Secret

Raw honey has a ton of micro superstars that support your gut health! This includes antioxidants, antimicrobial benefits to help your body heal, and immunity boosting benefits!
Make sure your honey is RAW to maximize your gut health.

Raw Honey Decreases Inflammation

Raw honey is full of antioxidants including polyphenols which have been shown to regulate blood sugar among other things (Chávez-Mendoza & Sánchez, 2017). Polyphenols are anti-inflammatory and therefore can help decrease your risk for chronic disease (Ahmed et al., 2018). For example, raw honey has been found to protect people’s risk for diabetes. Additionally, raw honey has been found to strengthen people’s respiratory system, gut, heart health, and nervous system (Samarghandian et al., 2017).

Did you know that raw honey can heal your sore throat? Doctors have found evidence across multiple studies that raw honey decreases sore throat symptoms WHILE HEALING you from the inside out!

Where To Find Raw Honey

You can find raw honey at most local grocery stores. It’s also available at Costco, usually state specific sourced. So, if you live in Michigan like me, it’s Michigan raw honey. If you live in California, it’s California raw honey. Better yet, you can find raw honey at your local farmer’s market! Who doesn’t love shopping local to support your community?

If you are strapped on time, here is a fantastic raw honey available on Amazon.

A simple handful of peanuts can add a big boost of protein to your soup or any other dish, and if you’re anything like me and have an affinity for crunchy snacks, then you’ll absolutely love this delicious idea!

The only real question you should be asking yourself is why you haven’t been adding delicious, crunchy peanuts to your soups earlier! Peanuts can add a unique texture and flavor that can take your soup from ordinary to extraordinary.
