What Do I Need to Do to Make Crescent Dough Cinnamon Rolls?

First, Make the Crescent Roll Dough

  • In a large bowl, or your kitchen aid mixer with the dough hook attached, dissolve yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar in warm water.
  • Add 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup milk, 1 egg, salt, 1/3 cup sugar and 2 cups whole wheat white flour. Turn the mixer on to begin beating the flour into dough. Add the rest of the flour and let the mixer do its magic until your dough is a soft round ball.
  • Place your dough ball onto a floured surface and knead dough for 6-8 minutes. Place it in a bowl lightly sprayed with olive oil cooking oil. Flip it so the olive oil coats the top and bottom of the dough ball. Cover with a warm towel and let rise about 1 hour.

Next, Make the Filling

  • While the dough is rising, make the filling. In a bowl mix together a very soft (slightly melted) stick of butter, 1/4 cup of light brown sugar, 1 tsp LorAnn Super Strength Princess Cake Flavor, and 1 tsp ground cinnamon.

Then, Fill the Crescent Rolls and Bake Them

  • Once done rising, take the dough out. Punch it down and divide it in half. On a floured surface, roll out each half into a 12 inch circle. Then cut the dough like a pizza into 12 pie pieces.
  • Roll up pieces from the wide end and place with the rolled side down so it doesn’t unroll in the oven slightly apart on baking sheets covered in parchment paper. Curve ends to form crescents. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes. 
  • Preheat oven to 350°. Bake until golden brown, 22-24 minutes. Remove parchment paper from pans and place on counter to cool (or wire rack if you have it).

Last, Frost the Crescent Dough Cinnamon Rolls

  • While the rolls are cooling, in a small bowl, mix 1 cup powdered sugar, 3 tbsp. melted butter, 2 oz. softened cream cheese and 1/4 tsp of LorAnn Princess Super Strength Princess Cake Flavor until smooth. Spread frosting over rolls and serve warm!

  • Make the marinade. In a bowl, add 2 ½ tsp cumin, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp smoked paprika. Stir. Add the beef and coat with seasonings. 
  • On a baking sheet with aluminum foil, spread out the red onion, green pepper, and steak. Add ground pepper and salt to taste. Drizzle 2 tbsp olive oil over the top. Add the zest of 2 limes. Then, sprinkle the lime juice over the top. 
  • Place the foil (not the baking sheet) on the grill until the steak is cooked to medium, about 11 minutes.
  • To add an extra plant point, build your taco on a whole wheat tortilla!

  • First, cut 1.5 lbs of boneless chicken breasts into thin strips.

  • Third, in a wok or a large skillet, add 1 tbsp sesame oil on medium high heat. Then, add the chicken and marinate. Stir fry until chicken turns a white, opaque color.
  • Fourth, add 1 large, thinly sliced red onion and 1 large thinly sliced red bell pepper. Stir fry for about 4 minutes.
  • Then, add green beans. Add 3/4 cup of chicken stock (or broth) and turn heat up to high. Continue to stir fry until chicken and vegetables are lightly browned and crisping on the edges.
  • Finally, add 2 tbsp black Chinese vinegar, salt and pepper to taste, and diced green onions. Stir to combine. Serve over brown basmati rice (choose brown over white rice and add another plant point to your total!) with soy sauce to drizzle on top!

  • Fourth, open the lid and pour the grated cucumber contents into a sieve in your sink. Press down with a spoon to drain the juice. Then, put back the grated cucumber into the food processor.
  • Fifth, roughly chop 3 tbsp fresh dill, 3 tbsp fresh parsley, and 1 clove garlic, and throw it into the food processor.
  • Then, add a cup of Greek yogurt, buttermilk, 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil, 2 tsp of salt, 3 tsp of ground pepper, and 1 tsp brandy.
  • Press “on” and allow to blend (or is it process?) until it’s mostly smooth but not soupy.

  • Close the lid and pressure valve. Press the soup button and set the timer for 25 minutes. When soup is finished cooking you can either manually or naturally vent.
  • While the soup is in the Instant Pot, cook 1 large package of noodles according to package directions.
  • Finally, add roughly chopped bok choy greens when you open the pot. Allow them to soften slightly in the warm soup. before serving.
  • Serve noodles in bowl. Top with soup. Enjoy!
